The plans for this Longueuil-based headquarters called for renovating two existing buildings and designing one new building, making for a total area of over 8,230 m2 capable of housing upwards of 100 employees.  In what amounts to a first for Quebec, the cross-laminated timber (CLT) structure serves as a link between the existing buildings.

The selected structural system integrates an innovative technology that has been successfully implemented in Europe for more than a decade now. The project shows the potential of CLT panels in the capacity of structural components for creating very long spans, both horizontally and vertically, as well as their aesthetic qualities in the form of wall panelling.

More than 570 m2 of cross-laminated timber were used for the various structural components, as well as in the flooring, roof system, siding and wall soffits. The total cost of the project was $5 million.
